Yeah, POP was Tommy Balloon. Played in the mid 40's. Had a rocket left peg even though he was right footed.
Called him POP as when he had one at goal, it went with a BANG.
Although originally he was called it as he was out injured for 3 years with a subcutaneous cyst.
Little Tim WOZZER was a light footed inside left central fullback from the early 1900's. His surname was actually WOZZER, in them days people were too busy to really nail down a good nick name, sadly he died of exhaustion away whilst on duty in WW1 doing cabaret for troops.
